ASB Election for Grades 11-12 Held

This year’s ASB (Associated Student Body) election for grades 11 and 12 was held on Wednesday, September 17, during CAS class. This afternoon, all 11th and 12th-graders gathered together in the Xianmian Annex Auditorium to elect the suitable and dedicated ones to lead and serve in ASB. Before the election, this year’s 18 promising candidates have already shown themselves off on posters over the last week, and this was the time they would stand on the stage to give their presentations.



Under the guidance of the hosts, the election began. In the first round, each candidate had one minute to use all kinds of unique ways to attract their audiences. Some presented their dedicated effort in serving ASB in the previous years; some guaranteed to plan more fun activities for the students; and some offered to help the students enjoy a more comfortable and better life this year.



Furthermore, their talents are also shown on the stage. There was dancing, harmonica playing, lightsaber fighting, singing, and much more! These performances, along with the interesting Q&As, allowed the students to know more about the candidates and attract more votes while cheering, laughing, and applauding.



Lastly, each candidate had a final chance to shout out one more sentence to gain votes and everyone put down their final votes after that cautiously. Each vote will count in deciding who will serve in ASB this year.



No matter what the outcome is, all the candidates won a big round of applause for their motivation and hard work. And for those who got elected, congratulations to them all and a big thank you for your service spirit!
