On November 1st, 2025, the SHSID Floorball Club successfully attained its second championship title at the 2025 National Youth Floorball Championship (Shanghai). The team demonstrated exceptional skill and unwavering teamwork, making a huge comeback in the final.

The event featured five different age groups, 53 teams, 114 matches, and involved over 700 athletes from various schools. The SHSID Floorball Club faced intense competition from top schools across Shanghai as they battled for the U18 Shanghai championship. After four exhilarating matches, SHSID took first place with three wins and one draw.

The SHSID Floorball Club, with strong determination and great teamwork, brought many surprising and exciting moments to the audience. Club leader Eric took on the crucial roles of strategic planning, setting lineups, and providing motivation throughout the tournament. The team’s ability to remain calm, focused, and confident underscored their maturity and cohesiveness.

In the group stage, SHSID began with a tightly contested 3:3, followed with a 3:1 victory and an overwhelming 12:0. These strong performances secured the team's place in the finals.

However, before the final, a big challenge emerged. The top scorer, Eric, got injured during the second group match and could not play in the final.

As expected, the final proved challenging, SHSID was trailing 0:2 by the end of the first half. During the second half, Eric executed a sharp tactical adjustment; he sent in two new players, Ian and Celestin, who had only joined the club for six months. Their relentless effort and energy on the court inspired the entire squad.

Toward the end of the match, Kevin netted the crucial equalizer, bringing the score to 2:2. Not to mention that the team held firm for the final two minutes of regular time while playing four-against-five shorthanded, successfully forcing the game into extra time and penalty shootout. During the penalty shootout, the goalkeeper Johnson made two amazing saves; while Kevin and Kimi scored both attempts with utmost composure. These performances allowed SHSID to win by 2:0, claiming the coveted championship title as the tournament’s dark horse.

This victory was an important milestone for the club. It showcased the team’s strong skills, unity, and resilient spirit. Moving forward with passion and determination, the SHSID Floorball Club is committed to continuing to improve, shining on larger stages, and bringing further honor to the school.
