Academic Competition: AIMO - Australian Intermediate Mathematics Olympiad Awards Winners

November 14, 2025

In September 2025, our students participated in the "Australian Intermediate Mathematics Olympiad (AIMO)" either online or at their respective exam centers.

The Australian Mathematics Trust (AMT) was initiated and founded by the renowned Australian mathematician Peter O'Halloran. It is one of the internationally authoritative academic institutions. Its aim is to enrich the mathematics education content for students at all stages, providing the most cutting - edge mathematical ideas, theoretical trends, and educational resources. The headquarters of the AMT is located at the University of Canberra and is composed of mathematicians, educators, and members of professional mathematics associations from Australia and around the world.

The Australian Intermediate Mathematics Olympiad (AIMO) is hosted by the Australian Mathematics Trust (AMT) and is a highly challenging assessment activity. This activity is quite difficult. Students are required to solve 10 problems within four hours without using a calculator throughout the process, which is a test of students' mathematical abilities.

A special shout out to the students from SHSID for their outstanding performance during the exam: they have won 1 Global Prize, 3 Global High Distinctions, 3 Global Distinctions, and 1 Global Credit.

Congratulations to all our award-winning students! We appreciate every student’s hard work and participation in this contest. May our students continue to demonstrate their excellence and sharpen their skills in the years to come, reaching for new heights of success!
