Chemistry Department Seminar: Designing Chemistry Learning Journeys

On April 19, 2024, the teachers in the chemistry department of SHSID discussed the design and implementation of learning journeys of chemistry in room 107, Zhentao Building. The meeting aimed to enhance the teaching methodology by incorporating the concept of a "learning journey" into the curriculum. This approach emphasizes a structured path for students to navigate through the subject matter, enabling them to build a comprehensive understanding of chemistry. In order to effectively convey the concept, significance, and details of learning journeys, the teachers engaged in group activities to paint the journey maps. Each team meticulously plotted the learning journey, incorporating key courses, challenges, and discoveries along the way. Following an engaging and creative session, the department leader, Mr. Sun Hao, provided insightful conclusions and feedback on the journey maps crafted by each group.
