Grade 11 Assembly: Recalling Good Times and Honoring Excellence

The assembly on November 27th started with a video highlighting the junior event that took place last week – Global Citizens Day. This video not only summarized the spectacular activities that students attended during the three-day span, but also reminded them of the unforgettable time they spent together.



Right after the video, the classes held an award ceremony for the mini-films each class had made prior to GCD. Classes 11(1) and 11(3) received first prize; classes 11(2), 11(7), 11(8), and 11(10) received second prize, and 11(4), 11(5), 11(6), and 11(9) received third prize. This award ceremony recognized the efforts of every student in making the mini film for their class.



After the ceremony, Hans and Brian came upstage to promote the first SHSID HACKATHON computer science competition they held, an event that encouraged students to use and integrate coding skills and STEM knowledge to solve societal issues. After that, Edward then went up on stage to introduce a photoshoot competition from Ecocap that encouraged every student to detect and document the beauty of nature.



The assembly captured remarkable moments from GCD and inspired every junior to participate in school activities and develop into a well-rounded character.
