SHS Top Ten Singers Competition Is Back—The Stage Awaits You!

On November 27, 2024, the Shanghai High School Campus Top Ten Singers Competition officially began! This is a celebration for every music lover at SHS. Whether you are from the local or international division, if you have a passion for music, this is your chance to shine.


The preliminary rounds were filled with talent, as contestants lit the stage with their voices and warmed up the wintry campus. Let’s take a look through some highlights from the early phase of the competition:

Just like in previous years, this contest brings together the most talented singers from across our school, offering a platform for youthful expression and artistic flair. We cannot wait to welcome a new wave of music stars and to hear every unique voice and every genuine story told through song.


Looking back at past competitions, some contestants moved us with touching Chinese and international folk songs, others wowed the crowd with powerful pop vocals, and some earned cheers with timeless classical songs. Each of these unforgettable moments echoes the words shared by one of our teacher judges last year: “What matters more than the ranking is the youthful energy shining onstage and the true emotion carried in the music.”


That same spirit- valuing sincerity in music and authenticity in expression- continues this year. Once again, a panel of beloved SHS teachers will serve as judges. They are not only here to evaluate performances but also to support and walk alongside students on their musical journey. With both expertise and warmth, they will provide thoughtful feedback and encouragement to every contestant.


We’re calling all music lovers: if you have a song in your heart, this is your invitation. No matter the genre or language—if you want to sing, we’ll turn the spotlight on you. This time, the stage is yours. Let’s meet in the music and connect through the melody.
