High School Math: Congratulations to Winners of the Berkeley Math Tournament (BMT)

At the end of November 2025, the Berkeley Math Tournament (BMT) was successfully held in Beijing. Organized by a student club from the University of California, Berkeley, the Berkeley Math Tournament enjoys wide recognition and influence among high school students, attracting hundreds of teams from various regions to participate actively each year. The tournament is highly competitive and features diverse formats. It not only includes segments for individual ability demonstration but also emphasizes teamwork. By presenting challenges, it tests students' ability to go beyond the classroom curriculum, giving it significant prestige within the high school mathematics competition landscape.



During this Berkeley Math Tournament, SHSID high school participants were well-prepared and delivered outstanding performances across various events. In the national individual awards, one student placed in the top three in the individual overall challenge, with five students winning First Prizes; one student placed in the top three in the algebra challenge, with three students winning First Prizes; three students won First Prizes in the geometry challenge; and two students won First Prizes in the combinatorics & number theory challenge. In the team competitions, one team achieved global top-ten rankings in the Global Team Power Challenge, Global Team Guts Round, and the overall Global Team Score! Furthermore, three teams swept the top three places nationally in the National Team Power Challenge, and one team placed in the top three nationally in both the National Team Guts Round and the overall National Team Score!


We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the award winners of this year’s Berkeley Math Tournament and express our sincere gratitude to the Math teachers for their dedicated efforts and support. May our students continue to scale new heights and achieve even greater glory in future mathematics competitions!
