Grade 10 Assembly: Face to Face with a “Fellowship for Change” Participant

On December 10, 2025, a morning assembly was held for the Grade 10 students of SHSID. A senior student, Aaron, shared his experience in the “Fellowship for Change” program, a social innovation initiative organized by Columbia Global Centers at Beijing.


The Fellowship is a one-year learning community that guides high school students to address social and environmental challenges. Through learning summits in Beijing and other cities, field visits, and team collaboration, participants engage in a “Learn-Research-Start” process focused on issues such as educational equity, mental health, and campus sustainability. The program is fully funded by scholarships.Aaron showcased the application process and selection criteria, emphasizing the program’s focus on students who are compassionate, service oriented and collaborative.


The students gave the speaker their full attention as the presentation provided valuable insights into the program and presented students with an amazing opportunity to engage in community service and positive change.
