Grades 9-10: Learning Together—PA Midterm Review Snapshot
From April 8 to April 12, grade 9 and 10 members of the Peer Advisor Program (PA) held a series of PA midterm tutorial lectures during lunchtime. They acted as "peer teachers", explaining key and difficult concepts to their classmates and filling in the gaps in understanding before the exam. PA members began their meticulous preparations from as early as a week ago – formulating lecture plans, writing speeches, and making PPTs. In multiple subjects, two students shared the preparation work, striving to ensure that the best review tutorials are presented to their peers. All review materials have been proofread and reviewed by subject teachers for accuracy. PA members provided students with a series of comprehensive and diverse lectures, covering almost all subjects and levels, which catered to most of the students and their needs.
This teaching-learning approach is mutually beneficial as it deepens students’ understanding of the topic and promotes learning through active discussion. In addition, the well-organized study guides provided by the PA team boost the efficiency and effectiveness of the review.
Heartfelt appreciation shall be extended to the subject teachers and students who organized and participated in this event. We hope everyone can get the most out of this learning process.
