Grade 10 Assembly: Experiences from Youshan Club
On December 17, the weekly Assembly was held as scheduled in the theater of Zhongxing Building. This time, the speakers were Yoyo and Jessica from Class 10, both members of the school’s Chinese drama club, “You Shan Club.”
The two students share a deep passion for drama and have performed in works such as Hi, Mom and The Last Night of Jin Daban with the club. What is even more exciting is the upcoming premiere of the club’s new play, Xia Luo Not Troubles, adapted from the film Goodbye Mr. Loser. From scriptwriting and character development to stage design and lighting, every aspect of the production has been a collaborative effort by all club members.

“Although our club is small, we are very close—just like a family,” they said, a sentiment that resonated with many in the audience, who nodded in agreement. Reflecting on their personal growth within the club, they shared how they had progressed from being too shy to speak in front of a crowd to now performing confidently on stage, and from being acquaintances to becoming close friends with shared aspirations. You Shan Club has become an integral part of their academic and personal lives.
Toward the end of their talk, they enthusiastically promoted the new play Xia Luo Not Troubles, inviting everyone to look forward to it and show their support.
