Grade 10: Assembly - Sharing of Interest in Psychology

On the morning of April 10, the tenth graders gathered again in Zhentao lecture hall for their weekly assembly. This time, Rosa from class 10 (3) gave a speech about her interest in psychology. She started off by doing a survey, asking whether we have ever lied. This survey quickly grabbed the student’s attention and curiosity towards the speech. Rosa explained that lying is a topic studied in psychology, and how it is a defense mechanism that people use to protect themselves. From this example, Rosa expanded and pointed out that psychology is everywhere in our life. She then gave the example of stereotype, which is also one of the popular topics discussed in psychology. At last, Rosa wished for all the students to explore and find their own interests.

At the end of the assembly, Ms. Yu also presented awards to students who performed well in the Sophomore Project, and the assembly was successfully concluded with warm applause.
