High School Math: Congratulations to Winners of 2026 Princeton University Mathematics Competition (PUMaC)

January 14, 2026

On January 10–11, 2026, the Princeton University Mathematics Competition (PUMaC) was successfully held in Beijing. Organized by the Princeton University Mathematics Club, this competition has been held 19 times since its inception in 2006 and reached its 20-year milestone this year. PUMaC is widely recognized as one of the most challenging team mathematics competitions for high school students. The problems, designed by experts from Princeton University’s Mathematics Department, are comparable in depth and breadth to those of the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), aiming to test top students’ comprehensive mathematical literacy and ability to solve complex problems.

In this year’s competition, the eight SHSID high school students delivered outstanding performances, showcasing their solid mathematical foundation and excellent teamwork skills, and achieved remarkable results.
