Puxi Campus G7: Chess Tournament
The Grade 7 Chess Tournament, which lasted for more than a month, came to a successful close on January 5. The event attracted over 70 students and featured six rounds of intense and exciting matches. During lunchtime each day, classrooms were filled with students stopping by to watch. Black and white pieces clashed across the boards, unfolding one silent battle of wits after another.Throughout the games, players alternated between bold attacks and cautious defenses, carefully considering every move. The matches were both highly competitive and full of enjoyment, vividly showcasing the unique charm of chess. Beyond competition, the tournament also served as a bridge of friendship. As students played against one another, they not only honed their chess skills but also made many new friends who share the same interests. Beyond winning and losing, the true rewards were the joy of thinking and the friendships gained.

At the Grade 7 Semester Summary Assembly on January 15, award-winning players were recognized. Congratulations to all the winners!

The success of this tournament would not have been possible without the thoughtful planning and dedicated organization of the ASB students. From drafting the competition rules and scheduling matches to preparing materials and maintaining order on site, they demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility, ensuring that every aspect of the event ran smoothly.
Through this chess tournament, students not only strengthened their logical thinking and concentration, but also learned to respect their opponents and face both victory and defeat with grace. Every student who dared to participate and enjoyed thinking showed outstanding spirit — well done to you all!
