Grade 12 Assembly: Introduction to Senior Project

March 9, 2026

On the morning of March 6, the seniors at SHSID held their first weekly assembly of the semester, during which grade head teacher Ms. Yu introduced the arrangements for the Senior Project to Grade 12 students.

As one of the last projects in the students’ academic journeys at SHSID, the Senior Project aims to bridge high school and university life. It allows students to select from two project categories, either career-based exploration or practice-based research, both centered on the theme of “What can I or we do for the future?” and requiring at least 26 hours of work. Ms. Yu also outlined the project timeline: groups will be formed in March, specific work arrangements will be finalized in April, and the project will be completed and presented through an exhibition in May. At the end of the assembly, Ms. Yu emphasized the importance of the Senior Project in the semester evaluation, encouraging students to think creatively, explore boldly, and enjoy the remaining time with their peers through this experience.
