Grade 9 Assembly: A Glimpse at Clubs
On March 10, freshmen gathered in the Zhongxing B1 Theater for an engaging assembly designed to showcase the school’s vibrant club culture and preview a series of highly anticipated upcoming events.
The assembly opened with a presentation from GT Racing. As a specialized team focusing on automotive excellence, the club provides members a unique platform to develop technical skills in the field of competitive racing. Their record of success in prestigious global competitions proves the dedication and talent the program fosters. Following this, Stem Doge introduced the upcoming Pi Day celebrations. Students can look forward to a diverse range of activities, including interactive games, reading sessions, and academic lectures. There will also be both individual and team competitions, allowing students to apply their STEM knowledge in a collaborative environment. On Friday, the theater will transform into a hub of excitement for an exciting lesson featuring numerous games.
In the realm of humanities, the Bloomsbury Cat invited students with a passion for the arts and literature to participate in their upcoming initiatives. The club highlighted the forthcoming edition of BLOOM magazine, a publication that shares student insights and creative quotes. Finally, the high school IAA Club announced an upcoming model UN to be hosted at SHSID. They encouraged the freshmen to get involved either as delegates or volunteers. Participating in such an event offers a valuable opportunity for students to improve their public speaking and diplomatic skills while contributing to the success of a major school event.

This assembly not only informed students of the rich opportunities available but also sparked enthusiasm for the month ahead, reinforcing the school’s commitment to holistic growth and student leadership.
