Grade 9 Assembly: Culture, Creativity, and Preparation

On March 24, Grade 9 students gathered in the B1 Theater of Zhong Xing Building for their Week 4 assembly. The event showcased student initiatives and provided essential academic guidance.


The session began with the Dragon Dancing Team announcing their recruitment. Seeking students interested in Chinese culture and teamwork, the team invited peers to join their Tuesday practice sessions to build coordination and cultural appreciation. Subsequently, representatives from SHSID Times presented their new winter edition. The magazine, which features peer-written articles and a revived art section, serves as a creative outlet for the student body.


Next, Amy from Class 9(12) shared her journey of persistence. She discussed a lifelong passion for media, from on-camera performance to behind-the-scenes production. Driven by creative expression, Amy has contributed significantly to the school’s media group and math drama. Her diverse interests, including cinematography and baking, highlight how following one's passions leads to personal growth and meaningful campus contributions.
