Puxi Campus G7: A Showcase of Talent, A Celebration of Youth— Grade 7 Talent Show
On the afternoon of March 26, the Grade 7 Talent Show was grandly held in the Hsi Building auditorium. The performances featured a wide variety of forms, including dance, singing, instrumental pieces, and creative programs, vividly showcasing the artistic accomplishments and youthful energy of the grade 7 students.

I. Voices That Move, Melodies That Soar
The show opened with the lively and cheerful instrumental ensemble Ohne Sorgan .Audrey, Zoey, Kate, Sofia, Paris, Vanellope, and Viviana performed in perfect harmony, their smooth and flowing melody echoing through the auditorium and setting a bright, energetic tone for the entire event. Chloe’s piano solo, Fantaisie-Impromptu in C Minor, impressed the audience with her fluent technique and rich emotional expression, drawing listeners into the world of music.

The vocal performances were equally captivating. Angela and Zoe performed “Bu Guo Shi Xiang” and “Ji Fen Zhi Ji,” delivering fresh and natural vocals that beautifully captured the emotions of youth, along with strong stage presence. Evan’s musical theatre piece “You’ll Be Back” stood out for its distinctive style and expressive performance, earning rounds of laughter and applause.

In the singing-with-instrument segment, the blend of instrumental melodies and vocals created a deeply engaging atmosphere. Tianyu’s piano-and-vocal performance of “Make You Feel My Love” offered a warm and delicate interpretation, creating a calm and touching moment. Ivy and Jeffery Z’s guitar performance of “Farewell Blooms into Flowers” moved the audience with its lively melody and passionate singing.

II. Diverse Dance Styles, A Stage in Motion
Dance performances brought dynamic energy to the stage. Ashley and Isabella kicked things off with “Planet Swan + Money Float,” a fast-paced and expressive routine that showcased confidence and youthful vitality.

Hanya and Irene followed with a classical dance medley, “Joyful Rain Listening to the Wind” and “Song of the Yue Maiden,” transporting the audience into a poetic Eastern artistic realm with their graceful and elegant movements.

The pop dance medley “How Sweet and Supernatural,” performed by Camille, Claire, Isabella, Hanya, Chloe, and Olivia, pushed the atmosphere to its peak. With energetic music and synchronized choreography, the group displayed strong teamwork and vibrant youthful spirit.

III. Creative Sparks That Light the Stage
Creative acts added unique highlights to the show. The skit “ The Last 15 Minutes in the Exam,” performed by Sam, Ethan, Maxi, Angus, Jesse, Charlie, Evan, and Panini, was inspired by school life. Its humorous and lively performance drew continuous laughter and applause.

Zoe Y’s calculator performance of “Senbonzakura” offered a fresh and innovative stage experience. Roy’s card magic act “Lucky One” amazed the audience with unexpected techniques and clever design, earning repeated gasps and cheers.

IV. Sharing Joy: Teachers and Students Together
Between performances, fun and engaging lucky draw activities kept the audience actively involved, with waves of cheers and excitement filling the hall. Nikki, Ares, Evan J, Vito, and Evan C brought a lively warm-up dance “Baby Shark”. Homeroom teachers from each class then took turns coming on stage to draw the names of their class’s lucky students. Ms. Wu Wenyi, Grade 7 Supervisor and Mr. Wendell, Grade 7 Vice Supervisor drew four lucky classes to receive special prizes.

In the warm and lively atmosphere, the show concluded with a special teacher performance. Chinese and foreign teachers took to the stage to sing “Count on Me.” The pleasant melody, light rhythm, and heartfelt emotion not only energized the audience but also conveyed the teachers’ enduring care and support for their students.

After all performances, students from the entire Grade 7 voted to select the Best Creativity and Original Award and Best Performance Award. This interactive element encouraged participation and allowed students to show their appreciation for their favorite acts.
Amid applause and laughter, the talent show came to a successful close. Every performance on stage reflected the students’ confidence and passion. May they carry the brilliance they displayed on stage into their future studies and lives—continuing to explore bravely, shine brightly, and let their passions guide them forward, as their dreams take root and grow in a wider world.
