SHSID Students Shine at 2026 Oxford Global Model United Nations
The 2026 OGMUN conference was successfully held at SHSID from April 4 to 6. The smooth running and grand success of the conference owed much to the meticulous assistant and dedicated efforts of the IAA Club and student volunteers from SHSID. What’s more, the SHSID delegation delivered an outstanding performance at this event, showcasing the remarkable demeanor of SHSID students.

During the preparation and holding of the conference, the IAA Club and student volunteers stood fast at their posts and fulfilled their duties with great attention to detail. From campus guidance, registration reception, to material distribution and committee services, the volunteers played a pivotal role in every stage of the conference. Working diligently behind the scenes, they ensured the efficient operation of all sessions, maintained strict order on site, and provided comprehensive assistance and support for all participating delegates. Their professionalism and sense of responsibility laid a solid foundation for the smooth progress of the entire conference.

As a participating delegation, SHSID students demonstrated excellent professional competence and outstanding comprehensive abilities at this year’s OGMUN, reaping fruitful achievements. The team was honored with the “Best Delegation”Award. In the competition for individual awards, SHSID students also excelled, winning 9 Honorable Mentions, 10 Outstanding Delegate Awards and 6 Best Delegate Awards across 7 committees. Notably, in February this year, SHSID sent 9 delegates to attend the Harvard Model United Nations (HMUN) conference held in Boston, where the team achieved a milestone by winning the Outstanding Small Delegation Award, laying a solid groundwork for the brilliant performance at this OGMUN.

The excellent results at OGMUN, together with the groundbreaking gains at HMUN, fully demonstrate the steady growth and strong strength of the SHSID MUN team. Looking ahead, the IAA Club will continue to deepen its engagement in MUN activities and compete in various MUN events with the pursuit of excellence to aim higher and scale new heights.
