Our Middle School Students Clinch the IMMC International Outstanding Award, Securing a Four-Year Consecutive Streak

Recently, the results of the IMMC International Mathematical Modeling Challenge were officially announced. Middle school students from our International Division had already won the Outstanding Award in the Greater China round for three consecutive academic years in 2022, 2023, and 2024, achieving a remarkable "triple streak." In the 2025 academic year, an eighth-grade team from our International Division, through their own tireless efforts and with the dedicated cultivation and strong support of the school, built upon this success to write a new chapter of glory, securing a "quadruple streak" for the school.



This year, the eighth-grade team set their sights even higher and aimed further, breaking through from the international track. Competing against more than 1,400 high school teams across Asia, they successfully advanced to the oral defense for the International Outstanding Award. During the defense, relying on their solid academic foundation, poised presentation skills, profound paper-writing capabilities, and sharp mathematical intuition, the team the team won the top International Outstanding Award. Furthermore, their paper was qualified as an outstanding paper from the Asia region and was selected to be submitted to the global IMMC Exemplary Paper Repository, further highlighting the students' academic ability and modeling competence.













In addition to the core achievement of the "quadruple streak," our middle school division also won two Greater China Finalist Prizes and two International Finalist Prizes. This marks the best performance since the school first entered the competition, achieving a major breakthrough of "1 Outstanding Award + 4 Finalist Prizes" in an unprecedentedly brilliant season.


IMMC is a globally prestigious mathematical modeling competition for secondary school students. It aims to cultivate students' comprehensive ability to use mathematical tools to analyze and solve complex real-world problems through interdisciplinary project research. Competition rules require participants to complete problem analysis, model construction, algorithm design, and academic paper writing within 96 hours, followed by an oral defense assessment and professional review by an international panel of expert judges. Open to all secondary school students, this competition serves as an excellent platform for students to experience the practical value of mathematics and learn the thinking methods for solving real-world problems, while providing a professional stage for teachers and students to collaborate in mathematical modeling and fully unleash their innovative potential.


The outstanding results achieved in this competition fully demonstrate our school's significant success in cultivating top-tier innovative talents. Relying on cross-grade project-based research, precise whole-process mentorship, and distinctive courses designed to expand mathematical thinking, the school helps students gradually develop a rigorous academic mindset and cultivate a broad, diverse, and innovative vision. The award-winning students expressed their commitment to diving deeper into mathematical modeling and actively exploring interdisciplinary research at the intersection of artificial intelligence and complex systems. They aim to continuously hone their capacity for independent inquiry while showcasing the academic caliber, youthful vitality, and forward-striving spirit of today's generation.
