2026 Excellent Achievements of British Biology Olympiad, BioOlympiad Initiative USA-China and USA Biology Olympiad Open Exam and Semifinal Exam

Recently, the results of British biology Olympiad (BBO) and BioOlympiad Initiative USA-China(BIO-USACN) were announced for the high school section students of Shanghai High School International Division. The students achieved excellent awards. There were 44 students who received global awards in BBO in total: 18 students received Gold awards, 17 students received Silver awards, 6 students received worldwide Bonze awards, 2 students received highly Commended awards, and 1 student received Commended awards. There were 27 students who received national awards in BIO-USACN in total. 4 students received top gold awards, 4 students received gold awards, 6 students received silver awards, 8 students received bronze awards, and 5 students received regional honorable awards. Additionally, high school students from SHSID participated in the USA Biology Olympiad Open Exam (USABO) this year and achieved outstanding results as well. A total of 9 students obtained awards. Among them, 3 ranked in the top 10% and qualified for the semi-finals, 4 ranked in the top 20% and received Honorable Mention certificates, and 2 ranked in the top 30% and earned Merit certificates. Furthermore, our students made remarkable breakthroughs in the USABO Semi-finals. One student achieved a top-20% ranking and received Honorable Mention, while another was granted the Merit Award.


We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to all the students who stood out in the competitions! We also sincerely thank all the biology teachers for their hard work. It is their high-quality teaching and solid guidance that provides academic support that is so valuable to the students. We look forward to continuing to make breakthroughs and create even more brilliant results in the future!
