Puxi Campus G3: Third Grade Group Birthday Party
Filled with joy for Children’s Day, the campus brims with warmth as children mark their 10th birthday—a milestone of growth. On this delightful day, teachers, students, and parent representatives of Grade 3 at Shanghai High School International Division (Puxi Campus) gathered for the collective birthday celebration themed A Decade of Love, Dreams Come True. Together, they witnessed the young learners embark on a new chapter of growth.
The event opened with a heartfelt highlight reel showcasing precious moments from the students’ first three years at school: their focused gazes in class, energetic strides on the sports field, and bright smiles at the art festival. Each frame wove together beautiful memories, filling every teacher present with immense pride in the children’s growth.
Next, the talent show—the first highlight of the birthday party—kicked off in style. The stage sparkled as Grade 3’s young performers took turns showcasing their talents, embodying the vitality and brilliance of turning ten. Students delivered a mesmerizing string and piano duet of *Spirited Away*, its gentle melody as refreshing as a breeze. A soulful flute solo of Serenade captivated the audience with its soothing rhythm. The lineup continued with an inter-class string quartet rendition of Palladio, a lively flute solo of Zoo, a heartfelt piano-accompanied vocal performance of Forget Worries When Flowers Bloom, an energetic song-and-dance act of Proud of You, an elegant violin ensemble, and a touching chorus of As Wished. A dynamic hip-hop routine ignited the crowd’s enthusiasm, while the group performance of *Believer* brought the atmosphere to a crescendo.
A dedicated piano segment featured timeless pieces, including Colorful Clouds, Chasing the Moon, Heller Etude, and Mozart Sonata. The flowing melodies from the children’s fingertips shone brightly, earning thunderous applause for every performance—each a testament to hard work and passion.
Following the talent show, a heartwarming charity sale donation ceremony took place. A representative from the Make-A-Wish Foundation attended the event, explaining how the funds raised would support seriously ill children, helping them fulfill their innocent wishes and bringing warmth and hope. Learning that their small acts of kindness could light up dreams for young peers in need filled the children with pride and emotion. Ms. Zhang Yi, Head of Grades 1–3 at SHSID Puxi, then officially announced the total amount raised from the charity sale. This figure reflected the children’s careful preparation and dedicated efforts, embodying their sincere desire to spread kindness. In this moment, love was shared, goodwill flowed, and the children truly understood that sharing and giving make the world a better place—planting seeds of gratitude and responsibility in their young hearts.
Growth is a journey, and voices unite along the way. During the Kids’ Talk segment, student representatives from different classes took the stage to share their thoughts on turning ten. With themes like A Big Step at Ten, Ten Years Old: A Wonderful New Start, and Becoming More Myself, their speeches were sincere and moving. In tender yet resolute words, the children expressed their understanding of growth and hopes for the future.
The most anticipated moment of the day finally arrived! As the cheerful birthday song played, a giant birthday cake was wheeled to the center of the stage, its flickering candles casting a warm glow. Teachers and students sang the birthday song in unison. The children closed their eyes, clasped their hands, and made pure wishes before blowing out the candles together amid laughter and joy, capturing the precious happiness of their 10th birthday. At the end of the event, every child received a birthday card and a thoughtful gift—cards brimming with well wishes and gifts filled with care, adding a heartfelt sense of ceremony to this special day.
The success of the birthday celebration would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts and thoughtful planning of parent representatives. From event design and detail refinement to material preparation, every touch reflected their love and commitment. Gratitude goes to these parents for their quiet dedication and selfless contributions, creating a warm, unforgettable, and meaningful 10th birthday ceremony for the children.
Turning ten marks the threshold between childhood and adolescence, a vital milestone in life’s journey. This collective birthday celebration not only let the children feel the warmth of the community and the joy of growth but also taught them to cherish and embrace responsibility amid gratitude and blessings. May every Grade 3 student hold love in their hearts, grow toward the sun, and bravely stride into their brilliant futures with the beautiful wishes of turning ten!
