Primary School Subjects G1: Exploring the Secrets of Sound

June 8, 2026

In Week 14, Grade 1 young scientists embarked on a wonderful journey to explore the secrets of sound. To make abstract scientific concepts vivid and intuitive, a fun and playful tool was introduced to the classroom—whistle lollipops.

During the experiment, each student received a whistle lollipop and a well-designed guide sheet. Guided by their teachers, the children experimented hands-on by pulling the lollipop's plunger and blowing air into it. They were thrilled to discover that by changing the strength of their breath and the position of the plunger, the sound produced by the lollipop changed accordingly.

This engaging, hands-on activity allowed students to intuitively understand the secrets of sound "volume" (loudness) and "pitch" (frequency) amidst laughter and joy. By blending classroom knowledge with a fun experience, the children not only learned scientific principles but also experienced the pure joy of science in daily life.
