Grade 9 Assembly: Keep Calm and Carry On
On the morning of June 9, all G9 students gathered in the ZXB theater for the weekly assembly. Chris from Class 9(4) gave a talk about staying positive facing chalenges.
He distinguished between effort and perfection: effort is something we can control, reflecting our attitude and character; perfection, on the other hand, is an unattainable goal, and chasing it only leads to mental exhaustion. He encouraged his peers to adjust their mindset, appreciate what they already have, and live in the present moment. Chris also advised students to ask for help from people around them — reaching out to teachers and sharing their feelings with friends. He also emphasized the importance of physical activity, whether through soccer, running, or yoga.
This assembly provided students with practical strategies for managing stress and reminded everyone that a positive mindset, genuine human connections, and physical release are powerful tools in facing life's challenges.
