Grade 11: Peer Assistance for Midterm Revision
With cherry blossoms in full bloom, April signals a crucial milestone of the second semester—midterm examinations. During mid-April CAS class, the Peer Advisor (PA) team delivered an academic review session, bringing fresh energy and motivation into students' midterm review. Enthusiastic student volunteers, who dedicated hours to organizing curriculum summaries, led comprehensive lectures across all courses.

STEM sessions focused on connecting core concepts and complex problems. Speakers guided students to construct mental webs of course knowledge as attendees actively added to their notes. Questions and peer explanations rippled through the room, creating an atmosphere of engaged inquiry. The humanities sessions, meanwhile, were analyzing texts and sample essays, clearing up any confusions while also sharing close reading techniques that improved text comprehension. Students annotated their own coursework, filling gaps in understanding.

The value of the session lay also in the supportive community it fostered. Classmates joined together to review difficult course knowledge and conquer opaque concepts and the small community brought them more confidence to excel.
