Grade 10 "Visualize Chemistry" AI Project Concluded

June 15, 2026

The Grade 10 students at SHSID recently embarked on an exciting "Visualize Chemistry" AI project. Working in teams, students utilized artificial intelligence tools to create dedicated webpages or record short science communication videos. Drawing from their coursework, teams delved deeply into core chemical concepts: some focused on the microscopic world to explain why salt dissolves in water while sand does not, thereby illustrating the interactions between ions and water polarity; others captured what happens to particle motion and spacing as ice melts to demonstrate the mysteries of phase changes; still others conducted creative explorations into advanced topics such as phase changes and heat of reaction.

A major highlight of this project was the interaction with AI. Students were required not only to skillfully co-create content with artificial intelligence but also to critically evaluate their own work for scientific accuracy and technical originality. Throughout the project, students rose to the challenge, achieving a perfect integration of chemical knowledge and technology while fully demonstrating their proficiency with AI and innovative thinking.
