Empowering Innovation: SHSID Hosts "Building Business with AI" Workshop
At the end of June, Shanghai High School International Division (SHSID) held the "Building Business with AI" workshop, featuring Associate Professor Pietro Borsano from Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University and SHSID alumnus Kaijian Gao, a senior product expert. The session aimed to fuse cutting-edge technology with entrepreneurial practice, fostering students’ innovation and business acumen.

Guided by the framework of “Idea → AI Prototype → Validation → Launch,” the workshop emphasized solving real-world problems and encouraged students to identify genuine user pain points. In hands-on sessions, teams leveraged AI tools to build landing pages, conduct market analysis, and refine competitive strategies, transforming concepts into viable business prototypes. Some students came up with innovative ideas and independently built web pages for competitive product analysis. They categorized direct and indirect competitors, identified market gaps using two-dimensional positioning matrices, and clearly demonstrated the differentiated competitive edges of their startup projects. Their ability to seamlessly integrate technical tools with business thinking fully reflects their solid logical reasoning in business and comprehensive digital practical capabilities.

The workshop culminated in dynamic team presentations, showcasing creative and feasible solutions. This experience equipped students with practical AI skills for business while enhancing their collaboration and critical thinking abilities. Moving forward, SHSID remains committed to providing high-quality platforms for scientific inquiry and innovation, nurturing future-ready talents with global vision and creative minds.
