Puxi Campus G8: Grounded in Action, Guided by Kindness— A Chronicle of Service Learning Project Donations

June 30, 2026

At SHSID International Division Middle School, Service Learning serves as a core platform for student development, complemented by a wide range of Character and Moral Education (CME) initiatives. Through authentic community service and charitable action, students are encouraged to discover the value of helping others while developing a deeper understanding of responsibility, empathy, and citizenship.

Over the course of the year, students have engaged in meaningful projects spanning rural education support, community care, public advocacy, special education, animal welfare, and health awareness. These initiatives are not one-time events, but sustained efforts that continue to grow through long-term commitment and collaboration.

Grade 8 Service Learning groups actively planned and participated in various charity sales and fundraising events, raising donations for their partner organizations, schools, and community projects. All proceeds have been directed to their designated beneficiaries. Through these experiences, students strengthened their sense of social responsibility, deepened self-awareness, and bridged classroom learning with real-world action. Small acts of kindness have extended far beyond campus, bringing warmth and positive change to a wider community.

No act of kindness is too small, and no aspiration to serve is ever limited by distance. May the sense of responsibility nurtured in the classroom and practiced in society continue to take root in every student’s heart, inspiring them to view the world with compassion and to move forward with purpose and conviction.
