Delve Deep into Academia, Broaden Horizons Globally — Grade 11 Students Share Insights from A Study Tour
On June 11, Grade 11 students gathered for the weekly morning assembly, during which Elizabeth, Liris, and Leo shared their experience participating in the Dean’s List winter academic program. Through photos, stories, and personal reflections, they introduced students to the structure of the program and the academic opportunities they experienced at Harvard .

The activities they joined allowed participants to experience university-style learning through real classes, academic workshops, lectures, and cultural activities. They emphasized that the program’s central purpose is to help students explore different academic interests while experiencing what it is like to learn and live in a university environment.

In an essay workshop, rather than simply focusing on achievements, the workshop encouraged students to think about how to present their experiences, values, and personal growth in an authentic way.

Beyond academics, the three students also shared memorable moments from the program, including exploring Harvard Square, experiencing snowy weather, visiting museums and historic sites.
Finally, Elizabeth, Liris, and Leo encouraged students to actively seek out academic opportunities beyond school. They emphasized that programs like Dean’s List are valuable not only because they provide access to world-class academic environments, but also because they help students discover new interests, build confidence in discussion and presentation, and better understand the kind of learning environment they may hope to pursue in the future.
