Love from Shanghai, Warmth in the Mountains
From June 24 to June 28, 2026, the Shangyuan Club teaching team from Shanghai High School International Division traveled to Xishan Junior High School in Eryuan County, Yunnan Province, for a five-day summer teaching program.

Before departure, the team designed a detailed course plan based on the actual needs of Xishan Junior High School. To make the program run smoothly, they divided the team into different groups, including teaching, logistics, and activity organization. Together, the team discussed how to make the courses both meaningful and engaging. Besides academic subjects, team members also prepared classes such as drama, photography, chess, insect specimen making, sports, and first-aid education.

During the communication, team members learned that many students have limited opportunities to practice English speaking. So paired learning, fun speaking activities, situational conversations, vocabulary games, and simple English communication practice were used to help the students there be more confident at speaking.
For all team members, this trip was not just a volunteer activity. It was a shared experience of growth. They brought classes and stories from Shanghai to Xishan, and also learned sincerity, warmth, and perseverance from the students and teachers there.
