Outstanding Achievements in Middle and Primary School Science and Technology: Exploring, Innovating, and Growing
Recently, students from SHSID Middle and Primary School have achieved remarkable results in a series of major science and technology competitions:
• In the 24th Shanghai Youth “Tomorrow’s Science Star” Competition, students received 7 “Tomorrow’s Science Star” awards and 4 nomination awards;
• In the 41st Shanghai Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition, they won 3 first prizes, 1 second prize, 2 third prizes, and 33 merit awards;
• In the Xuhui District “Shanghai High School Cup” Youth Science and Technology Forum, students earned 19 first prizes, 23 second prizes, and 28 third prizes;
• In the 2026 Shanghai High School Science Week Academic Pioneer Project Competition, students won 3 first prizes, 7 second prizes, and 15 third prizes;
• In the 2026 National Middle School Water Science Invention Competition (Shanghai Division), they achieved 2 first prizes (qualifying for the national finals), 1 second prize, 3 third prizes, and 1 excellence award;
• In the 2026 National Middle School Water Science Invention Competition (National Finals), they secured 1 first prize, 1 third prize, and 1 Outstanding Instructor Award.
Behind these achievements lies not only the students’ spirit of exploration and innovation, but also the school’s long-term commitment to STEAM education and the cultivation of innovative talent.
SHSID Middle and Primary School has always placed students at the center of its educational philosophy, actively developing a diversified, project-based, and inquiry-driven STEAM education system. The school is dedicated to nurturing learners with awareness of innovation, scientific literacy, and practical skills. Currently, nearly 130 diverse courses are offered, alongside a wide range of activities, providing students with a broad platform to explore interests, showcase creativity, and achieve personal growth.


During the recent Creative Program Expo, numerous course outcomes and student innovation projects were showcased, fully demonstrating the richness of the school’s STEAM education and the students’ vibrant creativity. From scientific inquiry to engineering design, from artificial intelligence to life sciences, and from maker activities to interdisciplinary innovation, each exhibition booth attracted many students, teachers, and parents, vividly reflecting the school’s strong commitment to STEAM education.
These achievements not only recognize the students’ hard work and dedication but also represent a milestone in the school’s STEAM education development. Looking ahead, SHSID Middle and Primary School will continue to deepen its commitment to science education, further optimize its curriculum and practical platforms, and continuously inspire students’ curiosity and creativity to empower their growth.
We also warmly welcome parents and students to continue following and actively participating in the school’s STEAM courses and activities, witnessing together how students grow through exploration and progress through innovation, achieving broader development and breakthroughs on an even larger stage.
