2026 Global Examination Results Released
The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), College Board, and Oxford AQA Examination Board have recently released the results for the June 2026 global examinations. SHSID high school students have maintained consistent outstanding performance across the three major international curricula:
1. In 2026, all 63 IBDP diploma candidates at our school were awarded the full IB Diploma. Nearly half of these students took both English A and Chinese A language subjects. The overall average diploma score stood at 41.6 points (full score: 45). Since 2011, our IBDP cohort average has remained above 41 points for 16 consecutive years.
2. In 2026, the total number of AP exam entries at our school reached 1,299, with an overall subject average score exceeding 4.7 out of 5. Since 2013, our average AP score has stayed above 4.5 points for 14 consecutive years.
3. Equally impressive are the 2026 A-Level final examination outcomes. 38% of candidates attained 3A or higher, and 69% achieved 3B or higher. At the subject level, 48% of grades were A or A* (compared with 28.3% across England this year), while 80% of all subject grades reached B or above.

University Matriculation of the Class of 2026
The Class of 2026 totals 204 graduates. Approximately 116 students identified the United States as their primary application destination; as of mid-August, 97 students secured admission to universities ranked within the Top 30 of that year’s U.S. News & World Report Best National Universities. To date, 194 have shared their final matriculation destinations with the school. Among them, 113 will head to the United States, 29 to Hong Kong China, 20 to the United Kingdom, 12 to Canada, 7 to the Republic of Korea, and 4 to Australia, while the remaining 9 students will pursue their higher education in the Chinese mainland, Finland, Italy, Japan, Singapore and other locations. The yet-undecided graduates will make their final matriculation decisions soon. We wish every student of the Class of 2026 well as they set off on new journeys toward a promising future!
New Honours at the International Olympiad in Informatics
This summer, SHSID has harvested further achievements in the International Science Olympiads (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Informatics). Following an International Chemistry Olympiad gold medal in July, our students won an International Olympiad in Informatics bronze medal in August. Since our first-ever International Olympiad medal in 2021, SHSID has earned a total of four medals across these competitions: one gold at IChO, plus one silver and two bronze medals at IOI.

These results reflect the school's ongoing curriculum enhancement and robust talent-development system, together with the dedication of the faculty and staff. Across the IBDP, AP and A-Level programmes, the school maintains rigorous academic standards while offering personalised academic support. Through interdisciplinary integration, project-based learning and other diverse approaches, the school nurtures students' curiosity and unlocks their potential. What students at SHSID gain goes beyond grades—it is the competence, capability and confidence to embrace future challenges. Meanwhile, our academic competition mentors create personalised development plans for students, enabling them to compete confidently alongside the world's top talents and shine brightly on the global stage!
We thank our devoted faculty and staff, and congratulate all students on their remarkable achievements. May they carry this momentum forward with passion and determination.
