Grade 9 Return: A New Starting Point, A New Journey of the Heart

On the afternoon of August 31, the hallways of Zhongxing Building once again echoed with the footsteps of youth. SHSID welcomed a fresh wave of Grade 9  students. A carefully prepared return-to-school event lit the beacon for these students as they embarked on their high school journey.　


The students’ first stop was their respective classrooms. Stacks of brand-new textbooks were already neatly placed on the desks. The homeroom teachers provided detailed explanations regarding high school daily norms, class community building, and upcoming activities, helping the new high schoolers  quickly find a sense of belonging.



All Grade 9 students then gathered in the auditorium of Xianmian Building. Grade 9 Head Ms. Xu Dan walked the students through the four-year high school curriculum structure and the key points of using the Blackboard platform. She encouraged everyone to embrace high school life with an open and positive attitude, discovering greater possibilities through exploration.



Ms. Yu Qinye from the Teacher Advisor Office positioned the counseling team as a "think tank" behind every student—whether facing academic confusion or personal growth challenges, the door is always open.



Ms. Cui Mengdi from the College Counseling Office used the Cialfo platform  as a window to showcase diverse channels for accessing university admissions information. She encouraged students to make good use of on-campus resources, begin planning early, and ensure that every choice they make is well informed.



The return-to-school event concluded amidst warm applause. The scroll of the four-year high school journey has been unfurled, and the ones holding thebrush are the students themselves—with passion as the backdrop and goals as the outline, they will write a unique story of youth.
