Grade 10 Launch Day: A Roadmap for Growth

September 3, 2026

On the first day of the new semester, September 1, Grade 10 students gathered in the Hsi Building Auditorium during the second and third class periods for a series of informative lectures designed to help them prepare for the year ahead. The event was hosted by Ms. Chen Lin, Head of Grade 10.

To begin, Ms. Cui from the College Counseling Office delivered a presentation on academic and college planning, highlighting the comprehensive support system the school provides for students. She emphasized that students have access to dedicated college counseling, systematic guidance courses, and professional online platforms, all designed to help them stay on track and build a strong foundation for their future applications.

Next, Ms. Yu from the Teacher Adviser Office presented on summer program planning. She emphasized that the summer after Grade 10 is a "golden window" for exploring academic interests, experiencing college life, and strengthening personal profiles. She introduced different categories of programs and offered practical guidance on how to select and apply for suitable programs.

Finally, Grade 11 student representative Michelle shared her firsthand experience this summer. She walked the audience through her six-week journey from game design theory to collaborative project development, showcasing her work in 3D modeling, art design, and game production. Her talk gave her peers an authentic and inspiring glimpse into the world of summer programs.

The sessions offered a well-rounded roadmap — from long-term planning to specific opportunities to real-life experiences — equipping Grade 10 students with clarity and motivation for the new academic year.
