Puxi Campus G4-5: Home-school Joint Meeting
At the beginning of the new semester, in order to further strengthen home-school communication and build a joint force in education, the International Division of our school recently held a home-school joint meeting for Grades 4 and 5.Ms. Liu Fang, Vice Principal of SHSID Middle and Primary School, Ms. Lu, Director of SHSID Puxi Campus Grade 4-5, Ms. Zhuo, Grade Supervisor of Grade 4, Ms. Zhang Wei, Vice Grade Supervisor of Grade 4, Ms. Shi, Grade Supervisor of Grade 5, and the PTSA representatives from each class of Grades 4 and 5, attended the meeting.

At the start of the meeting, Ms. Liu Fang delivered the opening remarks. On behalf of the school, she thanked all PTSA members for their contributions to home-school communication, volunteer service, and support for the school's development. She pointed out that true education can only happen through close home-school cooperation and called on parents to pay more attention to their children's emotional state and build a positive and healthy parent-child relationship. She also put forward specific requirements and expectations for the PTSA's working approach and the home-school communication mechanism in the new semester.

Ms. Lu, Director of SHSID Puxi Campus Grade 4-5, spoke around three key words: change, growth, and cooperation. She introduced the adjustments made in the new semester regarding the teaching environment, daily schedule, teaching models, assessment requirements for each grade, as well as the students' positive adaptability. The section focuses on students' all-round growth in physical and mental, cognitive, and social aspects. It emphasizes the cultivation of students' higher-order thinking skills, communication and collaboration skills, cross-cultural understanding, and builds diverse development platforms to empower students' growth. At the same time, Ms. Lu hoped that all PTSA members would continue to play the role of a bridge, work together to establish a home-school communication mechanism built on mutual respect, trust, clear boundaries, efficiency, and order to maintain a shared vision in education and work hand in hand to safeguard students' comprehensive development.

Afterwards, two parent representatives from the grades spoke, respectively. They reviewed the work carried out and the results achieved in home-school cooperation over the past year. Both representatives stated in their speeches that they would continue to fully support the school's various initiatives, actively promote home-school co-education, and create a more harmonious and positive growth environment for the children. They called on all parents to walk hand in hand with the school, further deepen cooperation in the new semester, and work together to support the children's comprehensive development.

At the end of the meeting, each grade held in-depth discussions on the characteristics of their students, the key priorities of home-school work in the new semester, and matters requiring home-school collaboration. The teachers patiently answered parents' questions, and parents also actively offered suggestions, with frequent interaction on site.
This parents' meeting not only gave parents a clearer understanding of the section's education and teaching work but also laid a solid foundation for home-school cooperation in the new semester. With the joint efforts of the school and families, the students of Grades 4 and 5 will surely thrive in the new environment and set sail for a bright future.
