Grades 9-10 CAS: ASB Election Held

On the afternoon of Wednesday, September 16, Grade 9 and Grade 10 students welcomed an important event in the third week of the semester — the election of the new ASB. Held in the Grand Auditorium during two CAS periods, the event was met with great enthusiasm and excitement.


ASB is an indispensable student organization on campus. Its members plan and organize a variety of activities, including Circuscape, Summer Bash, Knowledge Knockout, and Senior Prom. They coordinate event planning and volunteer arrangements, striving to deliver the best possible experience for their peers through thorough preparation and careful execution. At the same time, as grade-level representatives, ASB members gain a deep understanding of students' needs and ideas, collect feedback in a timely manner, and communicate with teachers, building a bridge of trust and dialogue between students and faculty.


 A total of 25 students took the stage, competing for votes through 30-second videos and one-minute speeches. Each candidate's video was unique, introducing who they are, what they enjoy, what they excel at, and why others should vote for them, showcasing a wide range of editing styles and scenes. The speeches were equally impressive: some were heartfelt and expressive, some used rap to ignite the crowd, and others won rounds of applause with fluent delivery and confident stage presence.



Two hosts from Grade 10, Claire and Curtis, guided the event smoothly, adding humorous interactions to keep the atmosphere lively. The entire event was filled with cheers, laughter, and applause.



In the end, 13 students were elected to form the Grade 9 and Grade 10 ASB. Being an ABS member allows students to develop leadership and collaboration skills through practice, while ensuring that every student's voice is heard and respected. We look forward to the new ASB members living up to the trust placed in them, fulfilling their duties actively, and bringing more vitality and creativity to campus life.
