Grade 11 Assembly:Writing Center Introduction:More Than Revision, It’s Co-Creation

September 21, 2026

On the morning of September 17, all Grade 11 students attended an Assembly in the Xianmian Annex Auditorium. The theme was an introduction to the Writing Center.

Mr. Moffat from the Writing Center explained that the centeris not only a place for revising students' work. Its services cover brainstorming, essay structure, paragraph organization, evidence use, grammar, and academic style, providing support throughout the stages of conception, planning, drafting, revision, and polishing. Our school also hopes to build the Writing Center into a campus writing community, hosting practical workshops and competitions from time to time, and exploring the application of artificial intelligence in writing. Mr. Moffat invited students to participate in activities such as creating promotional materials and compiling writing guides, and encouraged them to submit ideas through the suggestion box in the library.

This Assembly not only helped students further understand the Writing Center’s resources, but also inspired their enthusiasm for participating in building the campus academic community.
