SHSID Stallions Rowing Team Competes in the 2026 Shanghai River Regatta

The 2026 Shanghai River Regatta was held on the Suzhou Creek from September 24 to 25. Our Stallions Rowing Team took part in the Junior Group 500m City Dash, competing in two events: Men’s Quadruple Sculls and Mixed Quadruple Sculls. Eight strong high school teams competed in this youth category. With a revised knockout format compared to previous years, the competition was intensely contested. On September 24, Stallions of the Men’s Quadruple Sculls delivered steady performances in the time trial and quarterfinal, advancing smoothly to the semi-finals the next day. On September 25, the crew raced with all their might in the semi-final and final, setting new school records in both races.

Off the water, teachers, students and parent supporters lined the banks of Suzhou Creek to cheer the rowers on — the big family of SHSID serving as a solid backing for our athletes. Every breakthrough would not be possible without the coaching team’s constant companionship and thoughtful guidance. It was also one teammate’s birthday today, and the whole crew sang the birthday song for him — may this bond forged through fighting side by side endure for years to come. On this special day — the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, our Stallions gave their youth and dream to the water. Happy Mid-Autumn Festival to the whole SHSID family — may we keep pulling toward our dreams together!
