Primary and Middle School English Department—International Women’s Day—“Inspire Inclusion”

March 18, 2024

On March 8th, 2024, the Primary and Middle School English Departments hosted events with grades 4-8 to discuss the importance of International Women’s Day. These activities and discussions focused on the importance of inclusion, aligning with the sections’ mission of fostering responsible global citizens.

Using literature as a tool to inspire and instruct, students chose readings from a menu of writers that have unveiled the importance of embracing a society founded on inclusivity and respect. Opportunities were also taken to complete immersive tasks and activities, discuss with older students, and listen to emphatic speeches delivered by Victoria and Felicity of grade 8.

We hope that our students will take this experience and enact change in their daily lives and move towards a world founded on inclusivity.
