Grade 10: Assembly — A Baseball Boy's Story

March 15, 2024

On March 13, the students and teachers of 10th grade met once again at the Lecture Hall for the weekly assembly. Sam from 10(13) came to the stage and shared his experiences with baseball.

Having played on many teams since his first attempt at this sport in third grade, he began participating in national-level tournaments a few years ago and accumulated many awards and certificates in the process. Of course, other than ranking, Sam also improved himself through baseball: in such a team sport, Sam developed his cooperative and communicative abilities by playing with his teammates. He also expanded his social circle. Because baseball isn’t that popular in China, Sam could make friends with the majority of baseball players in Shanghai competing in tournaments with him. For Sam, baseball is not only a sport or exercise, but a platform for him to meet those having the same hobby and a motivation for self-improvement.

After listening to Sam sharing about his passion for baseball, tenth graders began to look at their hobbies in renewed interest, brainstorming the potential benefits they can gain from the things they like.
