Congratulations on the Great Results in the International Linguistics Olympiad China Open Round

In early March, the International Linguistics Olympiad China (IOLC) Open Round was held in Shanghai. The students from SHSID performed well in this competition and achieved overwhelmingly excellent results.

With a solid foundation in linguistics and logical thinking ability, one student was awarded the High Distinction (top 10%); 4 students received Distinction (top 10-30%); and 2 students won Merit (top 30-50%).

It is worth mentioning that most of these award-winning students are from the SHSID Linguistics Club. Since its establishment, this club has been a gathering place for linguistic enthusiasts on campus, dedicated to promoting linguistic knowledge and enhancing the language literacy of students. In weekly activities, they explore the mysteries of linguistics and enhance their perception and understanding of languages through holding lectures, sharing sessions, seminars, and other forms.

Congratulations to the award-winning students, and we also look forward to seeing more students who are interested in multilingualism and multi-culture join the SHSID Linguistics Club to explore the infinite charm of multilingualism with like-minded partners.
