Professor Solovyev from Moscow Conservatory of Music Comes to the School to Guide SHSID String Ensemble

March 4, 2024

Professor Alexander Solovyev, from the Conducting Department of Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Music in Moscow, Russia, was invited by our school’s string ensemble to guide the rehearsal of string ensemble A. On the afternoon of February 27th, he provided a wonderful master's lesson to the students. Professor Cao Tongyi from the Conducting Department of Shanghai Conservatory of Music also accompanied us in this event.

Professor Solvyev personally guided the musicians in playing Mozart's “Serenade K525”, “Rondo”, and the overture to “The Marriage of Figaro”. Under Solovyev's guidance, the ensemble presented even more beautiful sound, and the ensembles’ teachers and students benefited greatly.

In the final performance of the string ensemble's "Liangzhu", Professor Solovyev gave the ensemble full recognition and put forward his expectations for future development. Even in the presence of a language barrier, music is the best way of communication. We fully believe that the language of music knows no borders, and makes our future even better!
