Grade 10: Lectures on Preparation for College Application
In the morning of February 20 and February 27, teachers from the TA and CC offices provided detailed and comprehensive guidance on two academic topics about the college application process.
With the deadline for various summer programs approaching, Ms. Chen Lin from the TA office shared detailed insights into the selection of summer programs to help students better plan their precious summertime. From the specific types of summer programs and the application process and requirements to the reasons for choosing summer programs and their benefits, Ms. Chen Lin used real examples to emphasize the process of applying to university summer school programs to earn credits, participating in scientific research projects in laboratories, and the requirements and thresholds of top academic summer camps.
A week later, Ms. Cui Mengdi continued the academic guidance lecture on February 27. After outlining the general timeline for high school students to prepare for applications, she introduced the framework and details of university application materials, focusing on application materials, academic achievements, standardized test scores, extracurricular activities, personal statements, recommendation letters, and interviews. In activities and statements, she used specific examples to help students understand the specificity and representativeness required in activities.
These two lectures were immensely beneficial for the students, providing them with valuable insights into both their short-term and long-term plans.
