Lin’gang Campus G2: Winter Vacation Outstanding Homework Exhibition
"The grass grows and the warblers fly in February", and the second graders in Lin’gang Campus of SHSID returned to campus like birds in early spring. Some had big bags in their hands; some had rolls of posters in their hands; and some were holding a milk carton box in their hands. What were in their bags and cartons? It turned out to be the children's excellent winter vacation homework.
For their Chinese homework, the students adapted familiar children's songs to create new songs. These songs not only retained the flavor of the original children's songs, but also incorporated modern elements, giving new life to the old songs. For example, Ellie from Class 2-2 turned "Two Tigers" into "The Year of the Dragon is Coming". The Year of the Dragon is coming, the Year of the Dragon is coming, it's hilarious, it's hilarious....... The students demonstrated the new song in class, with bursts of applause and laughter. This innovative way of learning not only practiced students' music composition skills, but also enhanced their understanding and love of traditional culture.
Meanwhile, the Math Community display was even more amazing. Using milk cartons and cardboard boxes, students created a community model full of mathematical elements. There were not only math elements such as addition and subtraction sentences and clocks on the cartons, but also complex geometric shapes and application problems. These creative works not only showed the students' mathematical talents, but also combined math problems in life with classroom knowledge, inspiring students to think more deeply.
Old songs become new songs and cardboard boxes become highlights. This is a summary of the children's learning life and a stage for them to show their talents. In the new semester, may the children in Grade 2, as brave, smart and caring as little dragons, have fun learning and growing up every day!
