Pudong Campus Grade 4 and 5: Lantern Festival
The Lantern Festival is a traditional Chinese holiday that marks the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations. On February 20th, during the PB class, the fourth and fifth-grade students of SHSID Pudong Campus engaged in a lively lantern riddle guessing activity with the theme of "Celebrating the Lantern Festival and Guessing Riddles".
The homeroom teachers prepared a variety of interesting lantern riddles in advance. Some were about modes of transportation, some about fruits, some about historical figures, and there were also charades and brain teasers. Beautiful lanterns accompanied each riddle, creating a festive atmosphere. The students lingered in front of the diverse lantern riddles, actively thinking and discussing, occasionally bursting into laughter. Students who guessed the most lantern riddles could exchange their vouchers for small prizes. In the end, many students gained something through their own wisdom.
During this lantern riddle guessing activity, the students and teachers experienced the joy of collective activities together, felt the profoundness of Chinese culture, and further appreciated the charm of traditional Chinese culture.
