Grades 11-12: The Annual Law Lecture Held

On Wednesday, February 21, the SHSID juniors and seniors stepped into the Grand Auditorium and were surprised by the dramatic introduction of the members of the mock trial club in the Annual Law Lecture. Accompanied by Law teacher Mr. Zuo Qian, the lecture began discussing several law-related global events that have recently occurred, and it further discussed topics like lease signing tips and legal fact finding.

Accompanying knowledge with entertaining skits, the presentation gripped the attention of the students as they gained a better understanding of how a dispute resolution process works and what is burden of proof and standard of proof in a trial. Mr. Zuo’s professionalism also brought clarity to the various questions students asked after the lecture, which helped to resolve many long-standing doubts related to a college life in a western legal system.
