Puxi Campus G6: "Happy Chinese Speaking" Chinese Speech Contest for Non-Native Speakers Concluded Successfully

January 3, 2024

On the morning of December 29th, after weeks of preparation, the "Happy Chinese Speaking" Chinese Speech Contest for Non-Native Speakers came to the final stage. The purpose of this speech contest was to provide a variety of language learning environments, to improve the language literacy and oral expression ability of non-native Chinese speaking students, and to make speaking Chinese happen natural, happy way.

The competition attracted the participation of all G6 non-native speakers, and after the fierce competition in the preliminary and final rounds, 8 winners were finally selected for the title of "Little Orator". In the competition, the contestants gave speeches on a variety of topics, such as Chinese learning and writing, family stories, life skills, and new ways of raising pets. Their speeches demonstrated their increasingly solid Chinese language skills, as well as their unique insights into life and learning.

During the competition, the performance of the contestants was remarkable. They not only spoke fluently and clearly, but also had clear views and strict logic. Some contestants expressed their love and persistence of language learning by revealing their own personal experiences; others elaborated on their comprehension of tolerance and understanding from the perspective of getting along with their family members; and others spoke about the interesting and touching stories of years of learning Chinese and expressed their gratitude and deep respect to their teachers.

The students and teachers at the scene evaluated the performance of the contestants and gave them all warm, enthusiastic applause. They also reviewed the speeches carefully and voted to elect the “King of Popularity”.

This speech contest not only provided a platform for the children to show their Chinese language abilities, but also injected new impetus into their language learning. We believe that in the coming years, the children will keep going farther and farther on the road of language learning and continue achieving even better results.
