Grade 12 Assembly: The Uniqueness of Human Beings
On December 22, the last day before the Christmas break, the seniors gathered in the annex auditorium for the last assembly presentation of the semester. At this particular moment amid the freezing winter, Victoria and Andrew brought to the audience a lighthearted lesson on how to be a human.
By using an AI voice-over to narrate the guide on how to be a human, Victoria juxtaposed the rigidity and seriousness of the inhuman creatures with the liveliness and humor of the topic, creating an ironic effect. She first introduced the reasons for being a human and then moved on to illustrate the mechanisms for breathing, eating, and walking. Victoria’s advice on what AIs should or should not do when trying to imitate humans were acted out by Andrew, who is known for being a "model human". Over this concise three-minute presentation, the audience laughed at how prevalent some “inhuman” behaviors were in real life and how they were creatively presented.
This presentation intended to remind the seniors to always remember who they are and what they want to be. At this moment, the interesting souls of all seniors were connected and the presentation was enjoyed and remembered by the entire audience.
