Congratulations on the Recent Publication of SHSID Student's Paper in a Prestigious Academic Journal

The mathematical research completed by Eric He, an SHSID graduate of the class of 2023, during his high school years was published in the academic journal "Advances in Mathematics" in Volume 52, Issue 6, 2023.

"Advances in Mathematics" is a prestigious academic publication founded in 1955, sponsored by the Chinese Mathematical Society (hosted by the School of Mathematical Sciences, Peking University). It mainly publishes reviews and creative academic papers on pure mathematics and applied mathematics.

Eric, as the sole author, had his paper published in the authoritative journal, which is a testament to his exceptional research accomplishments during high school. This groundbreaking study was inspired by an innovative project he participated in 2021. Throughout his high school career, Eric excelled not only academically, but also in various artistic and athletic pursuits. Currently, Eric is pursuing his bachelor's degree in mathematics at the University of Oxford. In addition to his academic pursuits, he also demonstrates a commitment to athletic excellence by actively participating in both the Oxford rowing team and the school frisbee team.

Looking back on the year 2023, SHSID has triumphed in two globally recognized top-level events in the field of scientific innovation. The first is the prestigious achievement of winning the Grand Award and two First Awards at the ISEF Global Finals in May. The second is the outstanding performance at the S.-T. Yau High School Science Award Final Round, where they secured the highest awards, the Grand Award, and the Biology Gold Award, along with a Biology Honorable Mention. These remarkable accomplishments are not accidental; they are not only a natural outcome of the school's longstanding experience in nurturing outstanding innovative talents but also stem from the school's steadfast confidence and ample assurance in the field of international education.

Furthermore, according to incomplete statistics, since 2020, SHSID has seen over ten students, cumulatively, during their high school years, publishing over ten research papers in technology, social sciences, and other journals under the name of SHSID. Congratulations to them, and this achievement will inspire more students to pursue excellence on the academic path and realize their dreams.
