High School Chinese Department: Students Achieved Excellent Results in "Lu Xun Youth Literature Award" Competition
At the end of November, the award ceremony for the 15th "Lu Xun Youth Literature Award" was held at the Science Hall of East China Normal University (ECNU) in Shanghai. SHSID students achieved great results in this competition, having placed third three times, and were thus recognized at this ceremony for this accomplishments.
At the beginning of the semester, teachers announced the news of the competition to their classes, which aroused the enthusiasm of the students to participate. A total of 124 students participated in the competition, and after the preliminary competition, 12 people successfully entered the finals. In the preliminary round, students' works mostly drew inspiration from people and things around them, expressing their outstanding literary potential with true sentiments. In the final round, students wrote essays on one of the three given topics.
Although the competition has ended, students have expressed that this competition was a rare learning opportunity. They not only improved their Chinese writing skills, but also deeply realized the importance of cherishing time and being down-to-earth. The competition not only brought honor and awards to the students and the school, but more importantly, it cultivated their interest and love for literature. We look forward to their even more brilliant achievements in the future as they progress on this literary path of excellence.
