Grade 12 Assembly: Eunice’s Journey Sharing

On November 17, Eunice shared a heartwarming presentation about her continuous commitment to education in rural China to the seniors in the Annex Auditorium. Over the past seven years, Eunice’s journey in educational support has touched the lives of hundreds of students and raised up to 50,000 RMB.

Eunice’s journey commenced in a primary school located in Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province. As part of a foundation’s initiative, she lived with local students and helped identify families in need of financial assistance. This experience laid the foundation for her future endeavors in educational charity. In the following years, Eunice’ activities broadened in scope. She distributed books and stationery, awarded scholarships, and engaged in direct conversations with students about their dreams and aspirations. These interactions not only provided material support but also fostered an environment of encouragement and improvement.

The sixth year of Eunice’s journey was marked by innovation as she used live streaming to showcase local culture and products, successfully raising substantial funds for local schools. However, her seventh year faced unforeseen challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic which hindered her plans to promote a special school in Jiangxi through online videos. Throughout these years, her efforts have resulted in over 400 hours of service, aiding more than 500 students and raising over 50,000 RMB.

Eunice’s seven-year journey in educational support is not just a tale of charitable work but a testament to the enduring power of youth-driven change in China. After listening to Eunice’s speech, the seniors left the assembly inspired, knowing how much one can do to make a difference.
